Historic Sites of Manitoba: Bank of Hamilton Building / Grey Municipal Office (34 Main Street, Elm Creek, RM of Grey)

This two-storey brick building in Elm Creek was built in 1906 as a branch for the Bank of Hamilton. In 1923, the bank merged with the Canadian Bank of Commerce and it operated as a bank branch until closing in 1950 when the bank built a new building on Main Street. It was occupied from 1906 to 2011 by offices of the Rural Municipality of Grey. It was a private residence at the time of a 2023 site visit.
