This Roman Catholic church on Portage Avenue in Winnipeg was designed by the local architectural firm of Pratt, Lindgren, Snider, Tomcej and Associates and built in 1968 as the Assiniboia Christian Centre. Initially, it was a partnership of the Saint John XXIII Roman Catholic Church and the St. Chad Anglican Church. In 2013, the Anglicans sold their part of the facility to the Catholics and moved out.
