Historic Sites of Manitoba: Alma Apartments (269 Young Street, Winnipeg)This three-storey brick and stone block on Young Street in Winnipeg, measuring 98 feet by 55 feet, was designed and built in 1914 by James Alexander Matthews at a cost of about $60,000. The building contained 28 apartments in its original configuration. It has 31 apartments today.
