Architect.

Born at Fort William (now Thunder Bay), Ontario on 11 November 1934, he trained as an architect at the University of Manitoba, graduating in 1957. Later he practiced with the firm of Waisman Ross and Associates then with Libling Michener and Associates. For the majority of his career, he practiced with his own firm, known later as Stechesen Frederickson Katz in partnership with George Frederickson and Alec Katz. He was the first recipient of a Legacy Award from the Winnipeg Architecture Foundation (2024).

In 1963, he married artist Linda Joyce Fairfield and they had two children.
