Executive.

Lawrence has a BA degree (Canadian Political Studies and Canadian History) and an Education Certificate from the University of Manitoba. He is a fundraising professional with over 20 years of diverse and extensive experience in the not-for-profit and charitable sectors, and holds a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation, Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and a Fundraising Management Certificate from the Association of Healthcare Professionals (AHP), University of Madison in Madison, Wisconsin.

He is the current Chair of the Manitoba Historical Society (2024-2026) and is also on Boards of Directors for CJNU Nostalgia Radio and Peguis-Selkirk Treaty Monument. His community involvement has included serving as Chair of the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre and St. Andrew’s Society of Winnipeg (2017-2018). He has been a member of the 1999 Winnipeg Pan Am Games Bid Committee and the boards for the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation and St. Paul’s High School.

In recognition of his community service, Lawrence has received a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012), Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal (2022), and King Charles III Coronation Medal (2024).
