Historian.
Born in Winnipeg, he attended the University of Manitoba where he received an MA degree and the University of Western Ontario where he received a PhD degree. He was later Professor of History at the University of Winnipeg. He served as Chair of the Historic Sites Advisory Board of Manitoba (1980-1982).
