In 1946, the club was formed with three sheets of ice on land purchased at Fairmont Road and Grant Avenue in Charleswood. Land was purchased for $500 and the building was built with volunteer labour at a cost of $3,500. In 1955, construction began and the present building located at 4000 Grant Avenue was erected with five sheets of ice with curling starting later that year. The club was opened officially in 1956. Artificial ice was installed in 1959. The Greatest Little Car Bonspiel in the World started and ran for a record 16 years.

The club was home to Jeff Stoughton who won three Canadian Men's Curling Championships in 1996, 1999, and 2011. In 1996 and 2011 the team went on to capture the World Men's Championship for Canada. In 1991, Jim Ursel skipped a team to the Canadian Senior Men's Championship.
