Manitoba Business: Quality Cakes Limited

Quality Cakes Limited was incorporated via Letters Patent under the Manitoba Joint Stock Companies Act on 24 August 1920. Its founding partners were bread manufacturers Edward Parnell, John Tully Speirs, William Charles Parnell, and James Marnie Speirs, along with baker Stephen Gordon Brown. The company held a capital stock of $100,000 and was based in Winnipeg, moving into the Brown Block on Arlington in the 1920s.
