The National Brick Company Limited received its charter of incorporation via Letters Patent under the Manitoba Joint Stock Companies Act on 11 February 1911. Its headquarters were located in Brandon, with the founding partnership comprising merchant Joseph Bower, George Ruller, contractor Sydney Lyle, farmer Edward Foster, and financial agent Hugh John McNeill, all of Brandon, and lumber merchant Robert Conn of the Rural Municipality of Elton. Its initial capital stock was $20,000. The company was short-lived, being gone by 1913.
