Promotion
• promotion, promotion, promotion is the key!
• successful programming depends upon successful enhancement of
the
sites and their interpretive messages, on developing broad and frequent
public awareness, and on constant fund raising
• local promotion needs to be tied in with provincial promotion,
e.g.,
Manitoba Tourism, and regional promotion, e.g. Parkland Tourism
Association
• successful fundraising requires successful programming and a
commitment by local people, businesses and municipal governments to
support the local "destination place
