Andrew
Riddell came West to Manitoba in 1882, with his Uncle (William
Riddell). He homesteaded one mile east of Boissevain. Then
he exchanged that land for the south half of 10-3-17, which remained in
the family until 1960.
In
1883, he married Mary Custer, at Reed City, Michigan. They raised
6 children.
Mr.
& Mrs. Riddell both lived to a ripe age. Mr. Riddell lived to
eighty-five, and Mrs. Riddell to 96.
