Personal Memoirs: Headingley Heritage

by Amber McGuckin

The goal of this project is to profile seniors who have lived in Headingley, Manitoba for the majority of their lives. These charismatic characters share their stories about what the area was once like and their thoughts on what it has become.

Headingley is not just the name of a new bedroom development in Winnipeg, even though many residents identify as Winnipeggers. Part of the goal of this project is to show new Headingley residents what the small community was like before large homes started popping up in the 1990s.

Listen and watch stories from some of the area’s pioneers.
