A plaque beside a marsh north of Newdale, in the Municipality of Harrison Park, was unveiled in October 2009 to recognize a conservation agreement for this land granted in 2008 by Bob and Willine Young. Funding for this and other conservation agreement projects in the prairie pothole region of Manitoba and Saskatchewan was provided by Richardson International through the Health Prairie Landscapes Initiative.
