Historic Sites of Manitoba: Yellowquill Trail Monument (Municipality of Norfolk Treherne)

A stone monument at the trailhead of the Pinkerton Wildlife Refuge in the Municipality of Norfolk Treherne was erected in September 2000 by the Treherne Wildlife Association. It commemorates the Yellowquill Trail, a route used by Indigenous peoples from the Long Plains area to travel to the Assiniboine River where a larger branch of the trail ran from Portage la Prairie to the southwest corner of Manitoba.
