A plaque at this site in the Rural Municipality of Minto-Odanah, unveiled on 14 June 2007, commemorates the Wisconsin Project, a wetland conservation project in the prairie parkland region of Manitoba. It was supported financially by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Ducks Unlimited Incorporated, Ducks Unlimited Canada, Government of Canada, and Province of Manitoba.
The Wisconsin Project was developed in cooperation with George and Pat Woodcock and family. The plaque is dedicated to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the citizens of Wisconsin who purchased Wisconsin waterfowl stamps.
