A Presbyterian church at Vista, in what is now the Municipality of Rossburn, was built in 1910. Two years earlier, a manse had been built for the minister, Rev. James McLaren, and services were held in the manse or Islay School while the church building was constructed. The first services, led by Rev. James Lang, were held in the new church in 1911.
In 1925, it became a United Church within the Birtle Presbytery, in a charge including Oakburn, Culross, and Vista with the minister residing at Oakburn. On 29 June 1969, due to declining membership and attendance, the church closed its doors with Rev. Gordon Fulford giving the closing sermon to 24 worshippers. The building was subsequently moved from the lot and its basement was filled in. A sign commemorates the church at the former site.
