This Ukrainian Orthodox church at Tolstoi in the Municipality of Emerson-Franklin was built in 1927. Also on the site is a rock monument dedicated to the Ukrainian pioneers who settled in this district in 1897 and the organizers of this church. A plaque on a white cross, unveiled on 11 June 2017, honours the founding church pioneers on the 90th anniversary.
