Historic Sites of Manitoba: Manitoba Pool Grain Elevator A / Cargill Grain Elevator (Swan River)

A wooden grain elevator at Swan River on the CNR Erwood Subdivision, a composite type consisting of a combined elevator and annex, was built between October 1980 and mid-summer 1981, and opened at a ceremony on 20 August 1981. Later operated by Agricore (1998-2001) and Agricore United (2001-2007), it was sold to Cargill Grain in 2007. The facility was closed and demolished in 2015.
