The Ste. Genevieve School District was organized formally in February 1906 and a one-room schoolhouse operated at SW25-6-4E in the Rural Municipality of DeSalaberry. The district was dissolved in July 1961 and its catchment area became part of the St. Pierre Consolidated School District.
