This Roman Catholic church at St. Alphonse, in the Municipality of Lorne, was built in 1886. Its steeples and wings were added in 1930. The 125th anniversary of the St. Alphonse Parish was in 2008. A monument beside the church, erected in May 1983, marks the centenary of the parish that year and lists the priests who served the parish through that time.
