A 4,560-tonne wooden grain elevator at Shoal Lake, on the CPR Bredenbury Subdivision in the Rural Municipality of Yellowhead, was formerly operated by Manitoba Pool. Opened officially on 25 March 1981, it was built using the concrete foundation of an elevator built in 1973, using lumber salvaged from a demolished elevator at Harding, that was destroyed by a grass fire in April 1980. Closed by Agricore in mid-2001, the off-track building was later used for private grain storage.
