Historic Sites of Manitoba: Seigel RCMP Memorial Plaque (St-Pierre-Jolys)

This monument in front of the RCMP post at St-Pierre-Jolys was erected in memory of constable Harold Stanley Seigel (c1943-1971) of the St. Pierre detachment, who was killed while investigating a barricaded suspect at Ile des Chenes, Manitoba on 26 September 1971. A second monument to Constable Seigel is attached to the St-Pierre-Jolys War Memorial.
