Historic Sites of Manitoba: Manitoba Pool Grain Elevator / Private Grain Elevator (Sanford, RM of Macdonald)

Link to:
Agents / Buyers | Photos & Maps | Sources

A wooden grain elevator in Sanford, on the CNR Carman Subdivision in the Rural Municipality of Macdonald, was formerly operated by Manitoba Pool Elevators and is now used for private grain storage. It replaced an elevator that was destroyed by fire on 22 September 1948. Conspicuous deterioration of its wooden annex was concealed by new metal cladding applied in late 2014.
