This monument, dedicated on 24 October 2004, commemorates pioneers of this area who, on 24 October 1904, in the home of Norbert and Adèle Saltel at this site in the Rural Municipality of Tache, held a Roman Catholic mass that founded the Parish of Sainte-Geneviève.
