Historic Sites of Manitoba: Paterson Grain Elevator (Ridgeville, Municipality of Emerson-Franklin)A wooden grain elevator in the village of Ridgeville, on the CNR Ridgeville Subdivision in the Municipality of Emerson-Franklin, was constructed in 1947 by the Paterson Grain Company, supplementing an older elevator from 1935. They closed when the railway line was abandoned in 1981 and the older elevator was demolished. The newer elevator sat vacant for many years until, in 2009, it was restored for use in mixing livestock feed. It was destroyed by fire on 8 April 2010.
