Historic Sites of Manitoba: Reinthal Cemetery (RM of Rhineland)

A small cemetery at this site in the Rural Municipality of Rhineland was established in the early 1900s for the burial of Mennonites who had immigrated to this region. It is believed to contain at least 65 graves, some of which are marked and were partially visible in tall grass at the time of a 2022 site visit. The most recent burial occurred in 2011. There is no public access to the cemetery which is surrounded by private land. The cemetery was cleaned up in early 2023.
