A wooden grain elevator in Oak Lake, on the CPR Broadview Subdivision in the Rural Municipality of Sifton, was constructed in 1928 by Manitoba Pool Elevators. A 45,000-bushel Overgaard annex was built beside it in 1951. Closed in December 1988, the elevator was used for private grain storage for a time. The office and driveshed were still standing as of 2014. Only the concrete foundations were left as of 2016.
