The Northland School District was formed officially in June 1929 and a one-room schoolhouse operated at 15-29-1W in an unincorporated part of northern Manitoba. The school closed in 1966 and the district was dissolved in April 1967. The former school was later used as a hunting lodge.
Among the teachers of Northland School were Nora Good (1929-1934), Barbara Taylor (1935), John Hyman (1936), Mrs. Charles Carter (1936), Christina Swienson (1937-1939), A. Dobbyn (1940), James Albert Dorcas (1950), Eric Calrow (1951-1955), Vera Wylychenko (1956-1957, 1959-1962, 1963), Richard Collins (1958), Elizabeth Kehler (1958), Florence Wilson (1963), and Joseph E. Cooper (1963).
