A plaque beside the Sam Waller Museum in The Pas commemorates the portages made by Indigenous peoples between Cedar Lake and Lake Winnipegosis. It was erected in 2001 by the Manitoba Heritage Council, complimenting another plaque erected in 1984 at the site itself.
