This church building in Minto, in the Municipality of Grassland, was constructed in 1903 by contractor John Beaten for a Presbyterian congregation, at a cost of $4,014. Its location was at the corner of Church Street and Railway Avenue, on the north side of the Canadian National Railway track. In 1925, the Presbyterians and Methodists united to form the Minto United Church, and church services were consolidated in this building. Renovations in 1959 entailed the removal of crumbling brick veneer, repairs to the foundation, and removal of the steeple tower. In 1984, further foundation problems motivated the moving of the building to the present site, south of the railway track, onto a new concrete foundation.
