Historic Sites of Manitoba: King Edward Hotel / Minto Hotel (Minto, RM of Grassland)

Built on North Railway Avenue in Minto, in what is now the Rural Municipality of Grassland, this building housed grocery and hardware stores on its lower level with a community hall (also used as a Presbyterian church) on the upper floor. It was later bought by Harry Austin and moved to south side of Johnson Street as the King Edward Hotel. It was moved to its present location adjacent to highway #10 after 1946.
