The Meadowbrook School District was organized formally in November 1949 and, from 1950 to 1959, a schoolhouse operated at SW10-36-25W in what is now the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman.

Among the teachers of Meadowbrook School were Melvin Henderson, Anne Borcz, Genvieve Kennedy, Ruth Ireland, Myrtle Thoren, Flora Bosinski, Leith Cryderman, and Ivy Jeffrey.
