This monument in the Rural Municipality of Riding Mountain West, dedicated in 1967, commemorates Alexander MacTavish (1861-1922) and his wife Elsie Davidson Vandecar (1870-1940), who homesteaded at 10-20-26W, as well as their descendants. Some members of the MacTavish family are buried in the nearby Seeburn Cemetery.
