Historic Sites of Manitoba: MacKinnon Family Monument (Municipality of Rossburn)

This monument in the Municipality of Rossburn was erected in 1997 in memory of John D. MacKinnon (1849-1930) by his grandsons, Hugh and John Armstrong. MacKinnon came from Tiree Argyleshire, Scotland and Tiverton, Ontario in 1880 and homesteaded at SW4-19-24W. He had two wives, Catherine (1861-1893) and Mary (1851-1934), and two children.
