In 1904, three acres of farmland in the Rural Municipality of Rosser were donated for the creation of a municipal cemetery. It was survey and approved in 1906. The first recorded burial was that of Kate Oatway in 1909. Although there were grave markers that predate this, it is believed these earlier gravestones were placed after 1909 as memorials or to mark graves transferred to the cemetery.
