In 1945, this site along Hoddinott Road, spanning River Lots 95 through 99 in East St. Paul, was acquired by the family of Joseph Kruszelnicki (1898-1976) and Anna Dombrowski (1900-1981) who moved here with their four children: Walter Kruszelnicki (c1923-?), Peter Kruszelnicki, Harry Kruszelnicki (1930-2011), and Lillian Stella Kruszelnicki (wife of Leonard Petrasko). They built a dwelling and operated a long-standing market garden until 2011, with Walter later moving to Hamilton, Ontario and Peter to Victoria, British Columbia. By 1981, other structures on the site included a barn, garage, and greenhouse. Ownership passed from Joseph to Anna to Harry to Lillian who sold the land to the municipality in 2011, at which point all remaining structures were demolished.

First established here at the former farmstead in 2016, the East St. Paul Farmers Market was a municipal centennial initative. It was formally dedicated one year later on 10 June 2017 with the unveiling of two commemorative plaques, one for the Kruszelnicki parents along with a second for their son Harry who carried on the family business. Each plaque was affixed to large boulders flanking the driveway to their former dwelling, now the service access to the farmers market.
