Historic Sites of Manitoba: Josephson House (23 Third Avenue, Gimli, RM of Gimli)

This private residence on Third Avenue in Gimli is believed to have been built using materials delivered by rail from British Columbia. Constructed in 1913, it is probably an “Aladdin Home”, a kit that could be ordered from a catalogue. Pieces in the kit were numbered to facilitate assembly. The original owners, Jon and Anna Josephson, boarded teachers from the Gimli Public School.
