A wooden grain elevator at Homewood, on the CNR Carman Subdivision in the Rural Municipality of Dufferin, was built in 1951 by Manitoba Pool Elevators. Initially accompanied by an 18-bin crib annex, a second 27-bin crib annex was built beside it in 1953, increasing the total capacity to 175,000 bushels. Renovated in 1979, it operated until 2001 when it was closed by Agricore and sold into private ownership. After attempts to re-sell the elevator were unsuccessful, it was demolished in August 2021.
