Historic Sites of Manitoba: Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church (Horod, Municipality of Harrison Park)

This small Ukrainian Catholic church at Horod in the Municipality of Harrison Park was constructed in 1921 on land donated by Fred Klym. An iconostasis, consisting of six large paintings, separates the sanctuary and the nave. It was obtained from the first Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church in Sandy Lake and was installed and remodeled in 1938 by Philip Woytowich. Icons on the church walls were painted in 1944 by Edmonton artist Peter Lipinski.
