Historic Sites of Manitoba: Hill House (Rural Municipality of Prairie Lakes)

The two-storey Hill House northwest of Hilton in the Rural Municipality of Prairie Lakes was built for Alice Mary Maud Hill (nee Henry) and James Hill. The home was located on the family’s farmland, theirs being among the first farms in the area, established in 1882. The building was constructed from concrete blocks manufactured on the property.
