A monument in this cemetery in the Rural Municipality of Stanley, erected in July 1984, commemorates Herold Mennonite Church. It was founded in 1919 by Michael Klaassen and others who came here from the Herold Mennonite Church at Cordell, Oklahoma, USA. Klaassen served as minister of the church until his death in 1934. In the absence of leadership, the church dissolved in 1945.
