In May 1928, a recently built grain elevator at Hathaway, on the CPR Boissevain Subdivision in what is now the Municipality of Deloraine-Winchester, was purchased from Paterson Grain by Manitoba Pool Elevators on behalf of the Hathaway Co-operative Elevator Association. Closed in July 1970, the following year the elevator was sold to a local farmer and used for private grain storage. In 2011, it was featured in a Molson Breweries commercial. The elevator was destroyed by an accidental fire in May 2017.
