A stony monument on the shore of Gull Lake, on the boundary between the Rural Municipality of Alexander and Rural Municipality of St. Clements, commemorates a destructive tornado that swept through the area on 5 August 2006. It uprooted trees, damaged boats, downed power lines, and destroyed around 23 trailers in a campground here. One woman died and three other people were injured.
