Unveiled at Fisher Branch, in the Rural Municipality of Fisher, in July 2015, this massive wagon wheel—7.6 meters high and weighing 2,800 kilograms—is situated in a public park at the intersection of Highways 233 and 17. Its metal is intended to rust naturally to a rustic colour resembling that of wagon wheels. It symbolizes the historical role of Fisher Branch as the “Hub of the Interlake” during the early 1900s and it is a visual representation of the town’s catchphrase of “A community reinventing the wheel.”
