This “housebarn,” a combined home and barn, situated in Neubergthal in the Municipality of Rhineland, was built in the early 1890s for Bernard and Helena Hamm. It was occupied continuously by the Hamm and later the Friesen families for nearly nine decades, and was later restored as an interpretive facility by the Neubergthal Heritage Foundation. The building is a municipally-designated historic site (2002).
