The Forest Home School was established in January 1950 on the northeast quarter-section of 4-14-12 West of the Principal Meridian, located on the Riverdale Hutterite Colony in what is now the Municipality of WestLake-Gladstone. It was designated as a Special School by the Manitoba Department of Education and, in February 1968, the district joined the Pine Creek School Division.
