This cemetery in the Municipality of Rhineland was established along the Post Road in 1886 by Mennonites from southern Russian who emigrated here in 1879. Their first village of Edenburg was dissolved in 1892. The grave of Heinrich Wiebe (?-1897), minister of the church, is located to the southwest at the Neuanlage Mennonite Village and Cemetery site.
