Historic Sites of Manitoba: Fannystelle Hotel / Pink Hotel (Fannystelle, RM of Grey)

This two-storey hotel and restaurant on the north side of Highway #2 at Fannystelle, in the Rural Municipality of Grey, was sometimes known as the “Pink Hotel” because of a colourful repainting that it underwent later in its life. A colourful mural on the west side, featuring women in agriculture, was painted by artist Stephen Phillip Jackson. The hotel was destroyed by an arson fire on 31 March 1994. The site was later used by another building that has since been moved to Oak Bluff.
