A wooden grain elevator at Elphinstone, on the former CNR Rossburn Subdivision in what is now the Rural Municipality of Yellowhead, was built in 1948 to replace an older elevator bought from the Northern Elevator Company. The old elevator was converted into an annex beside its replacement. It was closed in July 1988 and later removed from the site.
