Historic Sites of Manitoba: Domke Blacksmith Shop (Libau, RM of St. Clements)

This small wooden building in the Rural Municipality of St. Clements is one of the last remaining older buildings in the village of Libau. It was a blacksmith shop that did welding and machine repairs, operated by Polish immigrants Otto Domke (1901-1994) and his wife Louise Elgert Domke (1907-2009) after they arrived here in 1928.
